Sherpa Alpine: automated M2K (Russell 2000) futures bot

Sherpa Alpine is an automated long-only bot for M2K (Micro Russell 2000) futures on TradingView. It trades a systematic setup mostly in the overnight hours, executes through TradersPost on prop firm and live accounts, and closes its position before the US day session opens.

Backtest, May 2019 to June 2026 (7.1 years)

471 trades on CME M2K data, about 1.3 per week. Net of $0.50 per contract per side commission and 1 tick of slippage per fill: profit factor 1.47, net result +$1,916 per contract, worst drawdown about $356 per contract, 6 of 8 years positive. In 2022, with the Russell down 21%, Alpine finished at +$396 per contract net, long only. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

M2K and MES

M2K is the primary market. The same engine on MES nets +$1,422 per contract at profit factor 1.21. Combined, one contract each, seven of eight years ended positive.
